TGP’s fire-rated glazing products allow you to push the boundaries of fire-rated design like never before. It’s why we’re North America’s most specified fire-rated glass company. Create with confidence using our fire-rated framing products.
Fire-rated glass requires special framing that provides the same defense against fire. This critical safeguard ensures that the glass and frames do not separate or fail prematurely, allowing a fire to spread unchecked throughout a building. In the past, to provide the necessary level of fire defense, this often meant using fire-rated frames that were thicker or more prominent than called for in a given design scheme. With TGP’s new generation steel fire-rated framing products, this compromise is no longer necessary.
Our steel fire-rated frames are precision engineered using roll-forming techniques developed in Europe. The resulting frames are much narrower, have well-defined edges (rather than rounded profiles), and have vertical-to-horizontal framing joints without visible weld beads or fasteners. The fire-rated frames can incorporate custom cover caps and surface finishes to better match surrounding curtain wall, window and door applications. TGP’s steel fire-rated framing systems are UL-classified and labeled, and available with up to 120-minute fire ratings to meet your specific project needs. Design with a new frame of mind.
